I just got some error coins back from PCGS, and I was admiring this one.

Then, I added to my PCGS Collectors Showcase set of nickel dollar errors and in the process of putting it in proper chronological order, I noticed that my other major strike through error was not only the same year, but almost identical.

There has to be a relationship between these two error strikes, the coincidence is far to unlikely to be random.

Those are pretty cool, nearly identical. Could it have been a piece of material temporarily stuck to the die or grease packed?
