From unidentified, lot:

Cimmerian-Bosporus

Cimmerian-Bosporus

Very rough coin, but thanks to the unusual tripod design (which tapers *in* at the bottom), I was able to find a match:

Haven't been able to find this coin in any other online catalog or database. Is anyone familiar with coins of this type? Whenever possible, I try to avoid attributing my coins as "Unknown ruler, unknown age".

Ahh, thanks! I guess the database I was searching wasn't as reliable as I thought.

Before you bag & tag it Finn just do a search of the severan dynasty provincial issues, they also have the " tapering " alter with snake entwined.
I could be way of the mark but that was my first thought when I saw your example.
