I just added these two... I thought for such a tiny coin the wheat ear was pretty cool. and this fills a gap in a page I have of miniature Greek coins.

I usually go with the Greek silver so I have been making an effort to pick up some Greek bronzes and I thought this looked quite nice.

Also with the strong £ at the moment they worked out very cheap from Europe. (less than £70 including shipping)

Two very nice coins. I'm always amazed at how skilled the die makers were to make such detailed coins.

very nice coins , especially the bronze one .I am happy for you for the strong £ , but I remenber the end of the sixties when 1 £ = 120 Belgian francs = 3 euros = 2,4 $.albert

They didn't have a Euro at the end of the sixties though did they?

But I was in Paris in the late 90's and 10 francs to the pound meant all the wine you could drink. Unfortunately when I was working in America it was $2 to the pound... but still it means the coins from the Eurozone seem noticeably competitive.

Also I remember visiting Ypres with the school in the early 90's, that was reasonable...and to be recommended to all. It was mid summer and the earth was baked dry yet I still sunk up to my knees in the trenches...not a great way to hold a war if you ask me.
