What's up with this? I don't have another to compare it to, but I don't think it's normal. Is it a Die Crack?

Yes, a die chip. Also a very minor one closer to the right of his shoulder.

the initials on the obverse are JF (for John Flanagan original designer) and a stylized WC (for William Cousins modification to the design)
