Ok guys, I have given up on finding this coin... I threw one back into circulation back when I wasn't collecting coins, cause I thought it was fake!! Yea I know I know, I'm really dumb... So if anyone is willing to part away with one, I'm willing to trade regular circulating coinage for it.. I know most of you guys have most of the circulating coinage, but if you do have ANY spares and willing to trade for anything at all, lemme know.. I'm really keen to get one to complete my 'different' types of 50 cents.... ok.. Lemme know..

Hey Jeff, what do you need for it? I have some spare COF, notably WA and NSW for 50 cents, BI for 20 cents and 1 tall ship available and a lot of royal visit....
Rest in Peace

Thx Richard.. So happy now..... and this comes at a time when I'm about to go to work... To muckeye, you are indeed correct in guessing it's let me.... Well done! You are one step closer to becoming a 16 year old...

Yeah, I'm still looking hard for a round 50c too. Ive never actually seen one in real life... Been having a look on ebay, thinking I will have to try there... :(

These darn German coins and hanging round here has someone sparked my interest in Australian Decimal Coins. Ironically, my Australian Decimal Collection is larger than my Third Reich Collection; and I'm researching Third Reich Coins for a paper that now weighs in at OVER 200pgs, without Pictures!

One day, I will own a round 50c or two! :)

Yeah, took the easy way out. Its not like the coins are uncommon! (Just have a look on ebay!!) I suspect pretty much any coin shop is going to have a few laying round, and from what I have noticed in the last week, they tend to sell in VF-XF at metal value! So its not like they're expensive either! :)

Mmmmm, instant gratification! :)

I looked at them close today as well, and as luck would have it, One was the Regular and the other was the 'TWO BAR' variety; pretty cool! Are there any figures for the percentage of Regular vs Two Bar for 1966? I can find no figures in my Rennicks. I beleive the Two Bar's were minted in London?

As for Silver; I have a rather decent collection of Third Reich 2 and 5 Reichsmarks. 2 RM are 67.5% (5g Au) and the 5RN are 90% (12.5g Au).

But yeah, silver is a lovely metal for coins; until it goes BLACK ;)
