I know what it is in so much as the Victorian Gothic Crown and in a proof-like finish in a nice presentation case, but a large plaque or medallion.
What I don't know is everything else. Who might have produced it as there is no CoA or name on the case..Pinches, Danbury, London Mint ?
Any idea of the metal ? There is no silver hallmark on the rim but it could be silver plated to give that proof look.
Any information would be appreciated.
Diameter approx 88mm, weight 388g, thickness 9mm. I put the 1c and 1p coins there to give you an idea of size.
Thanks
Brian.

Thanks Petrus, some nice information about the real Gothic Crown.
What I really what to find out is info' about this oversized piece though. I know it is using the 1847 Crown as a starting point but why/who made the super sized version ? Was it some sort of commemorative issue or a 'collector' item perhaps ?
Oh so many questions !
Cheers
Brian.

Hi,

I have just found your post, as I have also been trying to research this "coin".

I was just wondering if you had found out any more information? More specifically I am trying to find out how much if would be worth if I were to sell it.

Thanks in advance.
