Just luck no metal detecting. They're all rusted or corroded. We imagine they were left by an early scouting group. There were 32 of them in an old tin. Very green and probably not healthy. But neato. Found outside of Nottinghamshire.

I go detecting in dealer's junk boxes, usually in the $5 to $20 per coin range.
As with metal detecting, I am happy with any treasure I find, ancients to modern, all cultures.

And the searching is not seasonal, either.

Nevertheless metal detecting can be a good thing to do as part of a BCF* SUV expedition with the family.

Fortunately or unfortunately we have them anymore, sold them in a boot sale. They werent nice, but all 1902, we presume they would have been a significance to 1902' King Edward vii first year? Saw metal sticking out near trail. Squashed rusted tin. coins spilled out when I pulled it. Really neat find.
