Not sure where this is from, what denomination or when it was minted. If someone could help me with it I would be most grateful.

I think it's Ottoman, but I can't tell you much more than that.

I have Krauss 1900-2000 and there is no "Ottoman" section. Presumably these would be listed under Turkey?

Turkey does seem to have coins with similar pattern as the second picture, but each is surrounded with stars.

I am not sure of the age of the coin, it could predate 1900? or I am I still looking in the wrong place.

I believe Egypt, not Turkey. It's a qirsh fractional. For a similar one, see: http://www.omnicoin.com/viewcoin/964175

Date is a little hard to read but I think it is AH 1327, 1909 AD.

Ottoman coins, whether from Turkey, Egypt or elsewhere, are dated by a complicated system. "1327" is the "Accession year", the year the Sultan came to power. The actual date of issue is the "regnal year", on the other side; I believe in this case it's "Year six". That would make the actual year of issue AH 1332 (1327 + 6 - 1), which converts to AD 1914, more or less. Which was the last year of issue of Ottoman Egyptian coins, as the first thing Britain did when they declared war on the Ottoman Empire was revoke the nominal Ottoman rule over Egypt and formally make Egypt a British protectorate.
