That's how I get my best coins by taking a calculated risk on photos like this

The first coin looks to be a K.G variety, correct? Lots of RED as well, very nice and well worth the punt!!

I'd say the first one definately is K.G and I can see what I hope is a dot on the second coin but the photo is out of focus. They are in transit to me from the seller ATM so I won't know for sure for a couple of weeks.

I am NOT all that keen, when it comes to the sharpness of the effigy of the king especially when it comes to a red unc. penny.

Do the K.G pennies typically have a bigger gap between the K and the G than the plain KG types?

I checked out quite a few Rob but the gap seems to be the
same for both types

Thanks Steve - when I looked at your photos in this thread I thought the gap looked bigger on the first coin. So the dots are probably added in a similar fashion to the 1919 and 1920 pennies i.e. they manually punched a hole in each die (between the K and the G). Hence its rather small and prone to filling.

The KG and should the same distance apart regardless of the dot as it was added just to dies that were sent to Perth.
