Thanks, SilverDon, for great pictures...nice set

I liked 2011, cause only it bears the words "Born in 2011" on the coin. And 2015 /2016 due to the incuse design.

I thought the only people buying them are those with kid born at that certain year

This is was my thought, prior it became solid series.
When RCM jumped from one format to another (imo, still the 2006-2007 Silver Dollar Loons are the best), it wasn't attractive to collect them all.
But since format of the coin became same from the 2011 (although design could be different, here RCM just does the simple job by keeping baby feet) , it nice to "have them all" - similar to 1/2oz Maple Leaf Forever

How about taking these baby coins to a good jeweller and inscribe their name or birthdate, that would be cool, might be illegal but who cares.

Good idea for the gift - will be personalized.

Same probably same illegal as purchase "modified" bullion SML.

Or stamp JOP on them instant 300.00 collectable, just kidding but one could make a mass fortune if you were a jeweller and did this for moms.

What are some thought on the color 2 oz GITD northern lights coin. I am kind of tempted. The 2 things holding me back are: I would like to see the real coin. Secondly how bad will it depreciate in near future. Meaning will I be able to get it for less. I like wolf coins and I like northern lights. Its better price than the $200 for $200 coins. I have set myself a budget of $1k to spend this year on coins. So I want to get as many coins that I like for this amount. I find it prudent to set myself a budget at the beginning of the year.

I find the sculpture coins interesting, but not at the current price. Years past there was clamour our ordering to get the box. Now its very quiet on the topic. These are the only 2 appealing this release.

The silver dollar I will get for dollar collection, but have mixed feelings on this coin. It just doesn't grab me like the 2015 dollar. Others thoughts on the silver dollar.

I thinks, this is what re-sellers want to get.
Bit doubtfull, that many really want to add this to the collection, only in case if someone collects GITD coins, or collects 2oz coins.

Pay attention, that Coins_4_fun for example, sells both for same price (difference only in the shipping) - and his prices basically just with some small premium after ebay fees.

I do have 2 oz in my collection. Its hard to judge sometimes from color drawing. The wolves, mountains, and northern lights very appealing. I don't care so much about appreciation, as price drop. I am to lazy to resell and take risks for $10 profit. I'm trying to add selectively to my collection.

I'm about wolves & horse coins like YUP is about elephant bullion. Funny thing prior years, I never really thought about the price of a coin so much. I also hoping the blues in the color don't overpower the coin. I have the bullion wolves, niobium wolf, and several others. The firefly one did nothing for me. Like you said Silveroid, think carefully why to add to collection.

Many things looks like appealing, right?
I for example, seen as appealing the Moon Masks set, specially the craftsmanship in the coins, and couldn't resist.

But since we have a limited budget, or do not want our collections to be like a stash of everything, need to leave majority out and keep some.

Regarding the baby feet coins, I was looking at CA last night, they are asking $85 for 2015 and are sold out. When did they get so popular. This one flew under the radar. I never looked twice at this coin, as I don't know anyone with newborns. Is this becoming a new fad. I wonder how many different ways they can do the feet. Its nice to see it raise in value, especially as a gift. These are by no way low mintage either. Its nice to start a newborn off with a piece of silver. The mint hit it out of the park with this one, simple and elegant.

Do not chase them (Born in...) coins, just cause previous appreciated. If you want, get the 2016 for issue, and keep to give as gift to the friends newborn or just wait and see, how it will be priced after couple of years.

I don't intend collecting the baby feet series, these are just things I have noticed. I can still appreciate the coin and notice a trend in it.

Its interesting the lack of discussion on the release, even if people aren't buying anything. There used to be plenty of discussion on designs in the past. The $20 dino coin looks weird, something strange about the hind foot, they don't match. Same with only 1 foreleg, where is the other. More thought could have gone into the design. What are some thoughts on this and other coins, even if you aren't buying.

The Geometry In Art series, provides very unusual view on the Canada's iconic animals presented with the minimalist design in their natural habitat.

I think, better to pick up them (despite the 7500 mintage), rather than repeated "traditional" animals..

But, not for the issue price.
Let's wait for the couple of years, they will be CAD 50-60

I love the Geometry in Art series, the Loon is gorgeous. I couldn't wait, I bought the subscription for this year. What can I say? I'm a noob!
