If I put together a full set of 20c coins from 1966 to 2007 (possibly 2008 later this year), how much would people be willing to pay for it?
More than face value? ($8.40)

Joe, with all due respect, I think you shoud either buy or borrow an Australian catalogue, Try the library. There are too many varieties and commemoratives to make a casual guess. Good luck in your endeavours. regards,

JB, A full set including commemorative and varieties could set you back less than $10. That of course assumes that you noodle your way there.
If however, you wish to have an uncirculated circulation then the cost becomes increasingly expensive. You can pay a few thousand for a very nice wavy 1966.
As Muckeye has said, get a Maccas.

darn the Wavy 1966!! This week Ive been thru another $100 of 20c, and I only picked out about 10 keepers. Still trying to finish the Federation set with decent coins (kinda regretting throwing back the stuff I found the other week in maybe VF), a UN 20c (haven't found one!! unbeleivable!!) and a GOOD Bradman; the one I have is probably VF. BUT the Wavvy, I dream of that! (and a Round 50c too)... :)

They are around you just need to search a hell of a lot of coin. The 1966 will set you back about $7.00. I see you are in Newcastle....I hope you do not drink too much at the Bar on the Hill. Pay me a visit....my shop is only in Hunter St.

I have been known to tickle the tonsils at BotH a bit... ;)
I have been into your store actually, twice I think, after someone suggested you maybe a good place to start asking questions on where to find info on German coins (Im Dan, the Bald Guy, you probably dont remember me! But if I remember right, youre seriously into Euro Mint sets?)... They told me to go see Big Shane! But yeah, this researching of German stuff has spawned a serious offshoot interest in Australian Decimal...
But yes, if you've decent Round 50c for only $7, SOLD! I will head in during the week I guess... How about Wavy 20c?
Thanks Bigfella. :)

Zaggy, They are around. I got a wavy 20 in a bag of 20 cent pieces from the bank. I have about $150.00 worth of coins that I keep swapping at my bank and check them for errors and varieties. Keep looking. Cheers.

QldSandy, yeah I have now $50/50c and $50/20c that I swap (i find its easier for the teller to mentally deal with if you swap $50/50c for $50/20c and vice versa; at a different bank!!)...
Since that post Ive been thru thru about $400/20c; started off GREAT (3x UN's, 4x Bradmans (one of each in VERY nice condition) and at least one of ALL CoF except Norfolk as well as FIVE Large Head 2004's and 3x aUNC 1980's from the one bag!!), but towards the end, its dried up again! I need a good Norfolk! ;)
No Wavvy's tho... I suspect its the Holy Grail coin!
And as you see above, I went the easy option and bought two round 50c's! :)
