A super big tip of my hat to Bobby, and the outstanding work you have accomplished in a few short days, I was just on ebay and typed in superman coins, I scrolled 5 pages and didn't come across a counterfeit coin, just wow, I am so impressed(not that I underestimated your abilities), I am just impressed in the short amount of days that have passed since you started this quest. I for one will keep my eyes peeled for coins and let you know when I see them. We all know they will be back , but for the moment, it is very, very nice, to not see the pages littered with knock-offs.. So again, a big thank you to you Bobby for your time and efforts, it certainly is appreciated.. Any chance of leaving one thread with a running total of the crap you get taken down, just a thought.. |

YES~!! Bobby has done a remarkable job for all collectors! After reading your post I searched for the Disney Princess coins and there are not near as many. Last time there were many more counterfeit ones than real ones. Today, many fewer listings for the counterfeits!

It is nice to have another avenue to combat the counterfeits. A few words of caution however. You must be 100% certain that the item is counterfeit. ebay is very fickle and one mistake will cost you all credibility. I have had over 800k items removed. Many times I left listing alone do to the smallest uncertainty caused by poor or fuzzy images etc. You must be absolutely certain and have the proof to back up the claim if it is requested. Just to be clear, you do NOT have to be 100% certain to post here.If it looks suspicious to you, post it here. We have experts vetting all of these reports before they go to ebay for removal.

I'm impressed with the great work on this forum! Its a  to have this implemented. I'm truly amazed at the number of take downs in a short time.  It reduces the work load when others post ads, so no one person is over loaded. These counterfeit sub forums were a brave move by Bobby, and I'm glad he took the plunge. It would be great to know the total of ads removed in a year. Also to see the impact, if sellers wise up and stop listing counterfeits. I've notice if they've got 1 ad for fakes there's usually more. Kudos to all that are involved in this endeavour. |

Great work Bobby. I for years have reported fakes to ebay (especially ebay.UK) and they use to take them down but that was years ago. The last couple of years, nothing was ever done. It's great that I have a contact now (YOU!!) that has an 'in' with ebay. Super job and keep up the good work!! |
