I found this penny that is brown on reverse and copper on observe.
Why is it like this?

the penny was probably dropped on to moist ground, with the Obverse side up. The minerals in the ground or on the pavement transformed the reverse from shiny to brown.

. It's simply that one side was exposed to the environment or moisture while the other side wasn't.
