Didn't see one of these threads on the forum yet, figured it'd be something cool to do! Circulated proofs always tell a story. How does a proof coin make it's way out of a proof set? Purposely? Accidental? Stolen coins? Kid needed money?

Let's start it off with this cent. I don't own this coin, just saw the coin on either CCF or C-talk. Don't quite remember when or where. I had to save the picture, as I haven't seen a circulated proof like so!

I found a 2009 proof cent, 2004 proof cent,2007 proof cent, 1977 proof quarter, 1994 proof quarter, South Carolina proof quarter, Iowa proof quarter, Connecticut proof quarter and Arkansas proof quarter form boxes. Not sure I got so lucky.

Do I HAVE to post pictures?

That 1980 S Susan B Anthony $ is actually a business strike, therefore not an impaired proof.

My one and only circulated proof find was a doozy, it came from a teller's tray. Yes, that is a Type II mintmark

Does a coin have to be actually circulated or just impaired to qualify? I have some really cool impaired world proofs that I cannot prove were circulated, but have definitely been handled.

Hello there, you should flatten those staples out. Less risk of scratching the coin next to it if being stored in a 2x2 box.

I'm storing them in a binder. How do you flatten them out anyway?
