I found this little bugger in one of my sets. What kind error is the missing metal on the obverse of this coin? It's to the top left of the Queen's bust.

Would it be of any value to a collector?

Looks like a die chip, neat on a nclt but I wouldn't pay anything more, not severe enough.

Strike through error. Not sure if it would be a premium or a distraction on NCLT.

Too early in the morning, it's a strike through, only a valuable error if it was a Maple leaf coin

Just a note. It is sunken, not raised.

sunken means its a planchet error or a strike thru. I doubt there is much premium, and most would call it distracting.

I would think if that was the case, that most error collectors would take it less seriously...

At least the Lions made the playoffs this year. If that what a Leaf coin error it would be full of HOLES as in sieve!

As a Torontonian, it hurts to watch these comments. Good thing I picked to play baseball when I was younger...
