Hello. I have inherited quite a few gold/silver coins. I'm attaching pictures of one that I have a question about. It's a 1912 $10 coin. I'm wanting to know where it was minted. I don't see an "S" on the coin. When I google 1912 S pictures, I see no "S".
There is no S (for San Francisco) on this coin. This coin was minted at the main U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, PA. The PCGS slab (plastic holder) indicates a Mint State 62 grade and is if the type used by PCGS in 2014 so it was recently graded.
Welcome to the forum. If you have any more classig coins, please show them off, we'd love to see them. Or if you have more questions, this place is full of knowledge...
