AU details cleaned.
Old ANACS holder clearly didn't ID that the coin has been cleaned and is slowly retoning.

AU-55 details, cleaned. Slab may not list it as details but color on obverse does not appear to be natural.

If its old anacs holder they probably graded it AU 53 they overgraded a bit if its a ANA holder XF45 from the pics it defanatly looks cleaned but it could just be the way the pictures were taken but again from what I see in the pics I would Grade xf details Cleaned

Well guys I guess if you could see the coin in hand , you'd see the luster that's not showing in the photos .... It doesn't have any hairlines that would be seen if the coin had been cleaned , this toning is also hiding some of the luster ... I've showed this coin to several other collectors and two dealers , both of which tried to purchase the coin but none every mentioned anything along the lines of a cleaning ....
I've seen similar toning on several coins over the years and none of which were labeled as cleaned ... I also really doubt that anacs just forgot to label this coin as cleaned , they used a totally different blue label holder for problem coins at the time this coin was graded ....
I appericate your guys opinions but for me and my money I'm going to have to stick with what a company that actually looked the coin over in hands opinion vs judgements based on my poor photos and the tendency to find a problem with every coin I own ....

Yeah guys I have such a hard time getting decent photos with this phone , it's tough to get a photo to show what a coin looks like in hand or it is for me anyways :) I just get a bit frustrated when you know a coin isn't something but can't get a photo that does justice and convinces otherwise :)

Fyi coinguy lack of hairlines does not mean the coin was never cleaned. Dipped coins will not. However if residual cleaning liquid was not removed properly over the years you will get odd toning similar to this and luster still may remain.

Anacs grade the coin ef40 , I own several AU barbers and a few ef45 so my reason for posting was I though the coin was undergraded ... Both the coin dealers I'd showed it to also thought it was atleast ef45 if not AU ... That's why I was a bit shocked that everyone started going on about it being EF details cleaned ... Never the less I love the coin , I just really didn't expect anyone to think cleaned ... One of the two dealers that viewed the coin in hand looked the coin over with his loupe and then offered me a AU price for the coin , said he'd like to have it in his collection ... I though Forsure that this old guy that's been collecting 25 plus year would have mentioned it being cleaned and wouldn't have show the interest he did in it ...
