Acquired this recently, fits right into my collection of Replacement and Star notes. I would welcome any opinions, insights, experiences with BCS grading.

Generally BCCS grades notes harsher than US TPG, good for buyers bad for seller, this note probably 2 to 3 grades higher with PMG

I sent a few notes for grading to BCS and I was very disappointed. Notes I thought were UNC were graded AU and notes that I thought were AU were graded EF. If I were to sell them I would get a much lower price than if graded by PMG. Higher grades always command higher prices.

I would rather have them graded by PMG but it is very difficult to do so in Canada. There is no dealer near me that will handled banknotes for grading. I could send it to PMG but I they charge a membership fee and charges are about $50 per note if you factor in the exchange rate and shipping both ways.

So in Canada we are stuck with BGS or CCCS who charge about $15.00 per note.

Not necessarily. A lot of Canadian paper money collectors will ignore PMG graded notes altogether or make a lower offer to account for the higher PMG grade.

If you join the ANA, you become eligible to send in the banknotes on your own without having to pay any dues to NGC or PMG
Look for a show near you for you to submit on site.

Yeah, I concur with CDN Banknotes...anyone that doesn't take PMG grades with a grain of salt, is just fooling themselves.....PMG 55 = BCS 45 all week long. The one thing about bank notes, unlike coins, is that the serial number allows you to compare grading companies with the same note. I won't embarrass any buyers of PMG notes by posting before (BCS) and after (PMG) photos.
