Just got back from the LCS with a neat pickup I thought I'd share with my CCF Family. Many of you know my hometown is Indianapolis, IN. I've been a fan of the different varieties of our State Quarter offered for some time. Finally picked up the icing on the cake.
Thanks for looking!

My daughter (Ella) is the one in Santas lap. She was less than thrilled to meet him last year.

Thanks! Does anyone know what "Horz Schuler" is? It's listed as the press type. Also, is there a way to distinguish if the included die is the obverse or reverse? I would assume the reverse (just due to the cert listing of "Indiana"), although I suppose the obv. could technically be Indiana too since used in production of the same coin?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Very cool.

Just poking around on ebay, anyone that finds this interesting, you can get one here (Mississippu) for under $20 delivered. He's got many available.

I'd get one if they didn't completely obliterate the design.

Would be cool to have the mirrored devices. First order of business... State Quarter cookies!

It refers to the type of coinage press the die was used in. Before 2002 most if not all of the mint presses struck coins in presses with the dies in a vertical orientation (the dies moved up and down. beginning in 2002 they started switching everything over to high speed Schuler presses that had the dies moving in a horizontal plane. The older vertical presses could strike up to 120 coins per minute with a dual die set up, the new horizontal Schuler can do 750 coins a minute with a single pair of dies. So your die lasted in the press for between 7 and 8 hours.
