Hello folks,

Starting to get into ancients after collecting U.S. coins for the past 10 or so years. I've wanted a Pegasus for a while now and the opportunity to act on that desire finally materialized. I'm a newbie so let me know if I'm making any serious mistakes.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,
Joe2007

Wow, a stunner. Nicely toned, not too much wear. Great acquisition. Congratulations!

These coins come high up my list of favourite types. I did a double take when I first saw yours because the style of the Pegasus is so different from mine; one would assume that the style of it evolved over time (the style of the wings on yours is much more similar to depictions of hippocampus, whereas my wings look more like an eagles)

I would presume your example is much older than mine since it is within an incuse square.

Curled wing types for Corinth seem to be in the period 430 - 345 BC.

Thanks for the comments. I'm really happy I was able to purchase this one.

That is a very nice coin DavidUK! I'll have to keep a look out for one of the later types too.
