I looked on the Cud website and did not see a 1980 from the Denver Mint.

Very nice find! I am most interested in the reverse of this coin. Cud will create an indent directly located opposite of the Cud itself. The weight of this coin should still be 3.11. Thank you for sharing!

Connicoins: Rather than an "indent" it is a weak strike in the same area on the opposite side. The weakness in strike is caused by the die with the Cud on it not giving enough support for the die without the Cud. :D

The penny weighed in at 3.1 grams. My scale only rounds to tenths. 48 gns.
