Hi,
I have a Dansco album of modern half commemoratives complete from 1982-2011. The Dansco album ends there.

I was going to consider using this album to make the financial plunge to test the Caps Album concept I have read on a few threads here. I like the protection it offers and the beauty of the album.

The reason I was going to use this one is because I can't update from 2011 to today in my Dansco because it won't take the 2014 baseball coins anyway.

So I was going to try that one as my first foray. I am thinking of doing it for the Kennedy too, so I can include the 4 additional coins from the recent set. But that will be a ways off.

Anyway, my question is regarding the baseball coin. Does anyone have the baseball coin in an airtite? Does it fit in one?

I am assuming that since the CAPS album is an airtite display album, if it fits in an airtite, it will fit in the album. However, if anyone has the album and can comment on whether it works well, that would be great.

Fitting is one thing, of course. But I am also concerned that it fits, but then opens and closes incorrectly or looks goofy because one coin is different than the rest.

The Baseball half dollar will fit into a standard Air-Tite, so it is compatible with the CAPS Album. The Baseball dollar will not fit into an Air-Tite, so there is no way to put it into a CAPS Album, or any other album for that matter. Perhaps Air-Tite will offer a solution at some point in the future. I do not know if the Baseball $5 will fit into an Air-Tite, so its compatibility is unknown. I hope this helps.
