I was trying to help a friend of mine find out what this is. It was found in the 1970's. Its slightly smaller than a nickel. I was thinking it was a token of some kind. I didn't think it was a coin. I cant really make out many details even with a magnifying glass. The back is in pretty bad shape. I was hoping somebody would recognize it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It's a 100 Reis from Brazil dated between 1936-1938 with a portrait of Admiral Marques Tamandare.
