Can anyone help me identify this Accession medal or provide any information about it, such as where it might have been made and why it has incorrect details on it? I can find all sorts of variations of this on the net but not this precise one. It's a bit odd because the date on it is incorrect, it should read January 22nd 1901. Any guidance would be very much appreciated. Many thanks. Max.

There were several medals issued to mark the accession in 1901. I've found a couple more that have the 23rd January date, so it is not unique. Queen Victoria died on the 22nd January, so maybe some minters used the following day as the start of the new reign?
