For all you guys that are NEW to CRH; I have found from past experience that the month of December is the best time to ask the banks for CWR's. This is when a lot of people cash in all their change to buy Christmas presents.
Yes I know some will use coin star or free bank counting machines, but older people from the old school will roll their own coins and bring them to the bank.
at this time of the month ,forget about your bricks ''boxes'' Bank Wrap Rolls. just concentrate on customer wrapped rolls : cents through halves.

August - November have always been the best for me.

You need to remember it takes time for the old lady dumping her silver for cash to buy Christmas gifts at the bank to full up the bag (could be a day, week or even month), at least a week for the currier to make their weekly pickup, however long it takes for the currier to sort through and roll it, and then depending on how many boxes they already have in reserve combined with how they stack the boxes (new on top of old or old goes out first) it may be weeks to several months before you see Christmas silver cashed in in November or December.

I have gotten dumps back as soon as 3 days later all the way to never seen a certain months dumps come back around after 3 years or more.

How do you ask for them? Do you just say "do you have any customer wrapped rolls?"

You don't want to confuse the teller. Just carry a roll of each denom you are looking for, as a sample to show the teller. Just as some crh'ers might carry a 'fiddy cent piece'.

I've picked up all of my banks customer wrapped coins lately to no avail. The only thing even close I've obtained was a canadian nickel mixed in, which may or may not have been from one of my deposits awhile back. I personally find the Coinstar reject tray to generally have more money around now though, although January through March usually aren't very productive.
