Project $100k - Circulating U. S. Half Dollar Coins

I took my family to Star Wars last night, and treated everyone to sodas and popcorn. It came to $21.50 so I gave the young girl behind the counter a twenty and 3 halves. She stared at them and was not sure what to do. Finally another lady came over and explained to her what they were.

$1.50 at movie theater. $99,686.50 remaining. May the Force be with us!

I was a regular participant in the previous thread with the dollar coins and half dollars combined. Now that there are 2 separate threads (a great idea), it made me think. My first thought is that dollar coins are higher in value so they would probably reach 100k faster, but would they? I wondered just what percentage of the first 100k were dollar coins and half dollars. Anyone care to figure this out?

My recent spending of half dollars since my last post:
$1 on trip to Maryland
$7 at the club for drinks and tips
$10 at Wendys
$1 at grocery store
$2 at Subway
$1.50 at Arbys
50 cents at Burger King
$1 at local bakery

This is not a challenge, but it would almost be impossible since many times people just reported an amount spent in dollars and half dollars. I was keeping track of Ike$ spent, and I had to send a few messages asking for quantity per coin type.
