20 Ikes for gas (10x2), 18 more for smokes and 1 for a coffee and surprisingly not a single strange look from anyone.

Question - Anyone have a bag of Ikes for sale? Looking for quantity, not quality. I want to hand them out for Halloween and Christmas but I only have a handful left. I usually give out Kennedy half dollars but want to up my game this year! PS: I'm also posting a WTB in the appropriate forum, but figured I might get more traction here.

jeffbuckes, you might do well to follow LazerPig's shopping route. In my experience, banks rarely have Ikes, or the tellers don't want to be bothered to check the vault. Since people like Ikes, maybe the mint should make more. I assume leftover legislation from the 1970s permits them to.

I spend them everyday here in my neighborhood and give them out on Halloween too! Some of us folks ordered many of those $250.00 coin box from the U.S. Mint for years; the common Sacagawea & Presidential coins are more fun to spend and get new folks interested in Numismatics. I do enjoy collecting the Proof and Reverse Proof for my 10 year collection. So far I found 3 Polk Presidential coins with the same Cud on OBV from a U.S. Mint roll. .
