I'm curious to know how hard to find this one on business strike. I try to my LCS and some coins show but can't find one.

Thanks

Not that hard, you see them for sale occasionally on ebay. This variety occurs in both business strikes and PL strikes.

I'm intrigued, found a pic on another thread but wasn't aware of this variety until now.

SPP or anyone know, is the lightening island specific to either or both the attached or detached jewel variety of the 1975 SD?

I believe the BS and PL lightning strikes are found on the attached jewel.

Thanks pginrh. It would really make my day if for once I ever discovered an interesting variety in my dollar collection that I didn't know I had. So far I'm still looking.

Anyone else interested, this thread contains a pic of the lightening island.
