Box #27 1/2 results: 1939 1941 1941 d 1941 s 1946 1948 d (x2) 1952 s 1953 1953 d 1956 d 1957 1958 d (x4) 1959 d (x2) 2009 p 2009 d (x11) 1998 canada No hole fillers, no buffalo, no silver, no key dates..... but still fun. We have all the holes filled except for many of the "rare five". I'll update you folks on our progress. As you may recall, besides our sets, we don't keep any extra nickels except for Liberty, buffalo, silver, and those with a mintage under 15 million, plus the 1938P. I was waiting to hit gold soooo many times! (Well actually silver, but you know what I mean). My best guess, is that some collector/hoarder decided it was time to get rid of any old coins not silver, and the bank just rolled them up. I need to go back and get another box, because the credit union I use rolls their own coins. There are 3 branches in my city, so I dump at one bank in the coinstar and grab at the other 2. Almost to 30! no silver that's 29/26 no buffs no proofs no V's 1947-S thats a semi key date and I think its the second one I have. HOWEVER, I am bidding on a dateless lot of buffs on ebay and maybe another as well, I'm currently winning so I'll post my best finds here. Report this Post to the Staff
