Finally, after skunking out on the past 4 or nickel boxes, dime and half dollar box, my skunk streak is over with a 1943D War Nickel. and it replaces a chrome plated guy in my set. still looking for the 39D and 50D to complete my circulated set. |

I thought Black Beauty nickels were made on planchets that got slightly toasted, 'sintered'?
