I haven't gotten an album yet, but I am putting aside any nice looking nickels that could go in a future album. And I did get a 1939P and 1944D. I always like getting those even if it's a "common" date), and I sure do love those War Nickels.

Last box, and it was the first box where I have gotten no silver..but I am a rookie, its only my 4th box. Plus, it has some other surprises for me...more 40's and 50's than any box, and it gave me 2 buffalo...one with the date worn away, and a very nice 1937, it sweet condition! That one made me more happy than finding a War Nickel, so all was good...already traded in the rest of them for a new box, ready to search more tomorrow :)

That is one nice Buffalo nickel. What are those black marks? Is it magic marker, crayon, or a wax pencil?

I did my first box, today... and this is where I would like some help. I saved all 61 and before (because I'm going to fill out a Whitman folder). Can anyone tell me if I got anything good? (Besides the War Nickel) 1940 x 2 1940 S 1941 x 4 1943 1946 1947 1947 D 1949 1950 1952 1952 D 1953 x 2 1953 D 1955 D 1956 x 5 1957 x 2 1957 D 1958 D x 4 1959 D x 3 1960 D x 5 1961 1961 D x 2 Thanks for any help! For my first box, I sure was happy to find a War Nickel. Oh, at what rate does everyone usually get buffalos? They are my absolute favorite, but didn't get any.

box 53: no silver, no buffalos, not a single pre 1960 'S' mintmark. The only keeper from the US was a 1938. However, I got a Mexican $1 coin, 4 pre 1982 (pure nickel) Canadian nickels, a coin from the Bahamas, one from Bermuda, and one 5 cent Euro. Interesting international box.

Quote:Can anyone tell me if I got anything good? (Besides the War Nickel) The 1950 you have is also a great find. With under 10 mill minted, it's not super easy to find. I only have 6 of them after 60 boxes searched.
