My Jefferson collection is only from circulation and after 50 years of searching (mostly from change and rolls for two years) I am still missing the elusive 50-D

@SteedFLA - I haven't kept track, but not very many - probably ~4 or 5 - not counting boxes where there were new and I got all 2011P or 2010P.

I'd say it's pretty safe to expect a buffalo every $400 or so.

I searched through $135 in CWR yesterday and found a 1943P, 1944S, and a 1918 Buffalo with a barely readable date.

After last night's box, I didn't think we would have another good box for awhile, but tonight's box yielded:

1951s
1955p (three!)
1949s
1938p
1943P

After last night's box, our cummulative totals stand as follows:

Group 1 The Rare Five

1950d 0
1939d 4
1938s 1
1938d 2
1939s 3

Group 2 Under 10 Million

1951s 21
1955p 26
1949s 15
1950p 17

Group 3 Under 15 Million

1948s 18
1946s 14
1942d 12

And Just For Fun

1938p 22

Silver Nickels

1942P 6
1942S 2
1943P 44
1943D 0
1943S 13
1944P 27
1944D 4
1944S 3
1945P 21
1945D 7
1945S 5

Buffalos 51

Libertys 3 (1897,1899,1901)

This is after some years of collecting and a few hundred thousand nickels searched. As you can see, the rare five, some of the Silvers, and the Libertys have proven quite elusive.
