Just Curious, does anyone else keep all Nickels from 1965 and earlier? Its just that they are the differnt variety (Mint Mark on Back) so I keep all that I find.

tzarmarko, I appreciate that you're keeping all the 1964 nickels you find, because I'm sick and tired of finding them all the time. But in all seriousness, they made over 2.7 BILLION of these nickels. I only save them if they are AU or better.

Ok thanks for the answers. I guess I will keep only AU 1961-65 and just keep anything from 1938-1960.

You can also look for the 1960-D bar-zero nickels. Seems to be little to no interest in these, but they usually sell in larger lots for about 40-50 cents each. Here is a link to one of my pictures. I have find one for every $700 searched. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...ctionID=4941

I don't understand why anyone saves everything before 1960. What is the point? How many of the same nickel with a mintage of 100-300 million does someone need?
Besides the fact, those who save everything make it harder for future collectors to find anything.
