Well, it's been a while since I've had a decent box of nickels, but I've finally hit pay-dirt again!

This time I hit a mini-hoard of War Nickels, found 11 of them in this box:

1942S
1943P x3
1943D
1944P x2
1944D x2
1945S x2

Also found a few interesting foreign coins this time!

1957, and 1961 Mexican 5 Centavos
1975 Spanish Un Peseta x2

Add that to the several common Pre-'60 Jeffersons I found and I've got the best box since that huge buffalo hoard.

(But still no 1950D!)

Thanks everyone!

Got another box today in hopes that my luck from yesterday would carry over. Unfortunately that was not the case

Every nickel in this box was dirty, scratched, or otherwise roughed up in some way. They pretty much looked like they'd all been tumbling around in a nickel arcade for a while; kind of like those half dollars you see that have been used in slot machines.

It seems 1 out of every 4 or so boxes are like that for me. It's rather bothersome.

Nevertheless, I managed to pull out a 1943S, a 1947S, and YET ANOTHER 1950 PLAIN

Haven't seen a buffalo in months, haven't seen a proof for even longer
