Did they have a dusty reddish color, with a gritty surface texture? I get boxes infested with those too sometimes!

Only some had that reddish color, but yes they were present. Almost every coin had that gritty surface texture you are talking about. Not fun, I'm sure you know. But this box did have a lot of good stuff.

First roll out the box - 2 buffs(30,38). Then nearly to the end of the box I got a 1943 silver.
