Did $30 more today, hoping I'd have the luck I had yesterday, but nope. Found nothing.

10 rolls last night, filled holes in my 9 year old's Whitmans, and found a 1985 proof nickel. First ever find of a proof in circulation. That was pretty cool.

Did $30 more dollars, and got a 1952-D and a 1952-S. Also got this really nice looking 1963 nickel. I think it may be a proof, but I doubt it. What do you guys think?

I'd say circulation strike. Doesn't have squared rims, and unless a well circulated proof it would have full steps.

So I have been searching quarters and nickles and then trading in a roll or two of quarters at a time for roll of nickles. I got $20 yesterday and didn't get a chance to go through them until just now. Well look what popped out of roll number 3:

This is the oldest coin I've ever found roll hunting! I'm super excited even if the back is a bit dirty. Up until now I have found a few Buffalos and a few older Wheats but nothing like this. Off to search my other 7 rolls!

Still, that's the nicest Jefferson roll find I've seen in a while.

Oh and, great Liberty head, cmgiscool!
I wish I was that lucky!

Well I finished my other 7 rolls after finding my liberty, and found a 1938 in pretty decent shape. It was a hole filler! Also I found a 1941 and 1940-S. The 40S is barely identifiable and tinted. It looks like something nasty came in contact with it.

Congrats on the V nickel cmgiscool. I remember the charge I felt when I found my first one. I think that one is older than any of the ones I have found. I think I'll pick up some Nickels today if I get out.
