did a box and did not come up with any silver or buffs, but I upgraded a few coins in the folder. no hole fillers. I found this interesting coin. It changes color as I hold it, I am not sure of the word to describe it. Pretty cool novelty though.

CoinCBass,
That must have been a Buffalo dump bag.

Yeah. I saw several buffs when I dumped out the bag and I got real excited thinking it was a big dump and I hit the jackpot. I think in reality it was someone dumping some culls. 2 of the 3 dated buffs were partial dates and nothing exceptional either. What could I expect - I had literally just finished cleaning up a bunch of silver from a bag of halves, it would have caused a disruption in the force if I was to hit it big on nickels. Still a better than average bag/2 boxes

My son and I did a box tonight. The only keeper was an undated buffalo in really bad shape.

Hi all - I'm new to these boards but have been searching rolls for years. I used to search a few boxes of coins a week, but really slowed down the last few years. In 2013 I only searched a handful of nickel and cent boxes, so one of my New Years resolutions was to start searching regularly again. In terms of nickels, I am only missing the 50-D to finish my roll-found Jefferson collection, so I'd love it if I could finish that holy grail this year.
I picked up 2 nickel boxes last weekend and just finished last night. Didn't find anything special - a 43-P, 45-P and a dateless buffalo. Should have 2 more boxes waiting for me this week. Hoping to have some better updates as I find more.
