Looked through $80 in MWRs yesterday and was finding almost nothing worth keeping, which for me means 1963 or older in decent condition, a 2009, or an obvious error coin. With only $20 worth remaining I finally came up with one 45-P and one 2009-D, which satisfied me

Today is a $180 nickel dump day for me. I'm going to order $200 in nickels for next week despite the fact I am getting busy with other things given spring is finally here. I find looking through nickels relaxing, so I won't completely put my hobby aside

Went through $40 of CWRs and $10 of MWRs last night without much to show for it. Found one 1940, two 1941s and a bahamas 5-cent coin (my first). I am certain $10 of the CWRs were someone else's dump because the papers were the same in that group and there was nothing older than 1964 in any of those 5 CWRs.

I find it convenient to go through nickels at the dinner table while my kids do their homework at the same table. I am available to answer questions, yet not sitting there doing nothing. I guess I could read the newspaper instead of looking through nickels, but I prefer the nickels to what has become mainly trashy media. I guess I'll routinely search nickels until school is out in about 6 weeks.

Happy hunting all!

Well when school is out you can have them help you go through the nickels since you helped them with homework, and give them some of the ones you were going to dump anyway for helping.

Does anyone know where my son and I can get a handbook of Canadian coins including mintages? We have a couple for US coins already.

i think Whitman makes one. They make Canadian coin folders. Barnes and Nolbe might have them or that Hobby Lobby if you have one near you. I use a website to look up any canadian coins I find.
