finished a box which housed a nice 54s, and a dateless buff that was nic-a-dated to reveal 1917. One box to go. Ive filled a whole tube with 1939p, but never found a D or S from 38 or 39. Only found 3 or so 1938p, maybe 4. *edit - first box also had 2000 s proof. 2nd box had a 45p in the last roll

Hey guys, need your opinion on something. I have searched and searched for a 1967 nickel with no luck. Its not like they were made in small numbers but it seems like in my world there are no more '67 nickels in circulation. I find plenty of 1967 pennies, dimes and quarters still in circulation. What gives with the nickels?

location location location. assume for a minute that coins rarely leave their delivered area unless taken by someone to another. that means where you are or your coins come from there was little need for nickel in 1967, or a greater need for nickel in another year which has caused you to see a lot less 1967 due to the fact of them being outnumbered by the other year(s).
I really need a box of nickels, I haven't searched any other than pocket change in about 6 months.

Just got a couple of rolls today, came up with a 1943 Silver and strangely a 1989 Proof.

Last night's box yielded only a foreign coin from a Spanish language country for my son.

furryfrog,
It sounds like you keep coins similar to what we keep.
Tonight's box yielded the following keepers: 1946s, 1945P.

yooper,
The UP of Michigan would be a great place to start a Canadian nickel collection!
