I was following his post about the 25000 rolls I remember seeing where he finished. That's quite the goal 500 boxes!! Burn out is a son of a gun.

as requested, here is the 50d, its not yellow like the pic is not sure why 2nd pic is so small. There is a smudge of dirt on the reverse, but steps could be seen if the pic was better.

Very nice skibs!! I'm down to three myself: 39D, 42D, and a 1950. It seems I should have found these ahead of some of the others I've taken in. Funny how that works!! Here's my 1950 D. I don't remember even finding it and when I did (in the mid/late 1970s), I had no idea it was semi-key. Just got pressed into a folder. An AU coin - I've had my share of good luck!!

9/24 results - 2000 nickels searched - 19 from the 40s (42D hole filler) - 19 from the 50s (nothing spectacular) - 14 from the 60s/70s/80s (a few nice AU specimens) - 4 Canadian - 3 2009 - 7 S Mint - 3 Variety/Error (64 D/D, 1984 'No P, possible 1960 DDR) The difference of an hour or so: now down to 2 holes to fill!!

Tonight's box was a blockbuster, perhaps from a dump by someone:
1946s, 1942p upgrade 1943P (2), 1945P, 1943S 1918p and 1936p (2) buffalo's
So a total of 9 keepers.

Rackster,
That 1950d is not a semi-key. It's a just plain key, one of the rare five.

Rackster,
That is incredible that the 42d popped out right after you mentioned that you probably should have found it already. Nicely done! And it looks good too :-) Also nice pics

Two rolls of nickels today.
Found: 1941, 1949, 1957D, and 2009Dx2.
One of the ought-nines must have had some coffee spilled on it or something.
