skibs - thanks! I've had the funny knack all my life; need something, say something, find something. I never seem to wish for the big finds (S VDB, 1913 V nickel) but maybe it doesn't work for big ticket items! But I'll take finding a hole filler anytime and I'm always pleased if it's found in better than average condition. DCM - that's a terrific find ratio! I'm usually around one keeper per roll.

1 bag yielded:
3 wars 1 NDB roll + of pre-60 keepers (and I toss back any worn ones or some of the 5 most common dates) 2 1952 S Mints 1 1950 P - not really in good shape

Okay so while I was raiding the registers this morning at work I came across a 1943-P War Nickel!

Probably from a roll of nickels but watch for the customer who likes to pay with old (sometimes silver) money.

Wheatman - you may want to check your 62 and 63 to see if there is doubling on either the obverse or reverse. I've had particular luck with 1963 DDRs. Focus on the serifs of IGWT, LIBERTY, EPU and USA. Good luck!!

Wheatman - here is a link that might get you started: https://goccf.com/t/185151&SearchTerms=Jefferson There is a ton to look for so it really depends on what you like. There are several imbedded links there to sites that you can visit and read up on. Many, many things to pique your interest. You may want to start at VarietyVista or perhaps Variety Nickels to get a quick introduction. Familiarizing yourself with the possibilities will make your CRH more productive and perhaps more enjoyable. Good luck!
