Timberfan - we need pics! Some interesting finds. Jon - nice on the upgrade. Since you've been at this for a while, I was wondering how far back in your album can you go for having sequential AU specimens? I think I'm somewhere in the 50s these days myself. Many spotty AU coins between 38 and 55 as well.

Rackster,
I'd say in the 1950's, like maybe 1955-1956.

First box of nickels in quite some time and it gave up a 1973-S Proof and a 1936-S Buff.

Timbers - nothing in particular; post anything you found fun and interesting. FYI, I normally post the stats for a box and then I select 3-4-5 of the fun finds.
All up to you. Perhaps something you think the folks here would be interested to see.
Happy hunting folks!

Good choices. Just wrapping up a box of cents; wish I had a box of nickels but I decided to hold off on boxes until next weekend. Too many chores!

I miss searching nickels and just searching in general since being away at college I think next time I go home I'm going to bring back a box of cents and half a box of nickels just so I can take some search breaks while doing homework

Rackster, you're lucky. I have to do hmwk during the week, and chores plus soccer on the weekend. I almost have no time.

It's all relative. You'll see later once you begin a career and start a family. Consider this: I was an avid collector CRHing up until my Junior year in HS. Any collecting after that was by scanning my change over the years and putting collectables into a can. I only got back into collecting/CRHing in the past couple of years after showing my kids my collection one day. 30 years in between filled with career, a fixer-upper home, a wife and two kids. I'm happy you both are able to juggle the books...and the boxes. I forgot how engaging coin collecting can be; a pleasant distraction. So stick with your studies and continue to dabble with the coins. The time warp will start in a few years and you might end up in similar shoes (which I wouldn't trade).
