1913 Canadian - What shape is it in? I don't think I have any nickels that predate the lower 40s. Interesting find Jon!

I apologize! It was a 2013 Canadian. It was a hole filler for my son as he did not have that year yet. I wish it had been a 1913. : )

We wish you had found a 1913. I'm sure it would still be a hole filler!

$120 MWRs yielded:

1945s (war)
1947s
1947D
1949 ( full steps)

1979 CAD

Not great results, but not terrible

Nice on the full steps Berto! That's worth a picture!

OK - finished the box. A bit different from the others in that there were fewer pre-1960 coins but a bunch of mint marks on them. Of note:

1940 D upgrade
1941 D upgrade
1942 D for second album
1944 D for second album
1947 D upgrade
1952 D upgrades (2 - one for each album)
1959 D/D (couldn't ID it just yet)
1964 DDO in AU+
5 1980s nickel upgrades for second album (3 - full steps 1983, 84, 85)

So, still missing the 1939D for the first album but now down to 7 missing for the second album.

I spotted the reverse of a Buffalo nickel in a cashier's drawer today and asked for it. It turns out it was a 1920, albeit with a partial date.
