So an update on my high grade 1928-S Buffalo I found last month. Not being too much of an expert on grading them (or of course finding high grade ones in circulation), I conservatively called it an XF/AU coin.. I went to my LCD today and he called it a full AU!

The-Goal:-25,000-Rolls-Of-Nickels-All-Searchers-Welcome!

SO with that, a milestone - my first circulation find coin valued in the triple digits!

He was also very impressed with my nickel Cud from earlier in the week...

Tuesday's coins (97 rolls) yielded 3 War Nickels and 38 pre-60s total. Strangely, only 2 2009-Ds showed up.

Great find, John77! That's so much better than the dateless variety!

Thanks, aristachus123! That 28-S was actually from about 3 weeks ago. Easily the most valuable coin I've ever found... Speaking of dateless Buffalo nickels, I have 4 of them "pickling"... probably should check on them.

Went through $30 of nickels yesterday and picked up some nice ones. I'm pretty impressed with the 1945-P as well as the 1967-P, which is in great shape.

I can't compete with the awesome finds upthread, but here are my finds for this weekend. The best is the 1938-D. I was really, really, hoping for an S mintmark to complete my CRH set, but it was not meant to be tonight. Anyway, the 38-D has some great mint luster; I'm wondering if it would have a shot at MS-60. The Buffalo is 20-P.

My second box recently yielded a 1946d in great condition and an undated buffalo.

Well, this wasn't from a roll, but from just everyday lunch money from work, alongside three 21st century quarters:

Yes, my very first V nickel that I have ever received in natural circulation! A solid VG, although the bottom of the "1" looks rather odd. I was hoping that it would have meant the end of my local Capitals curse ending, but it was not to be. About 10 years ago during the height of my roll searching years, I had also found a 1907 Barber dime, making it the oldest year in which I've found coins of multiple denominations. I'm sure the Indian Head shouldn't be too difficult as well.

It's also the oldest nickel I've ever found in circulation, the previous oldest being a 1910 V nickel via roll hunting. I did receive a dateless Buffalo before in change several years back IIRC.

great find on the V nickel, yelimsexa! Haven't come across one yet, hopefully someday.

Purchased $40 in Nickels yesterday, and some exciting finds throughout. 15 pre-1960 Jeffersons, 1986 Canadian, and our first 2017 Nickel (Philadelphia).

We found our first 1950! It was plain, but we still filled a spot in our collection. Also found a beautiful 1938, and a dateless buffalo. Based on what I see, it looks like a raised ground buffalo, which would make it a 1913. All in all, lots of fun!
