Went through 72 MWR today (45 S&S, 27 Brinks)... found a total of 33 pre-60s including a 1955 Philly and 1943-P, 1943-S, and 1945-P War Nickels. Also found a 1976-S Proof and 8 2009-Ds. Interestingly, the 1955 Philly was again found in String&Son rolls... at some point (maybe when I get to 1,000,000), I think I will attempt to analyze my finds by carrier as it seems I get a higher percentage of pre-1960 Philly coins from S&S than Brinks.

Nice finds, John77!
We went through a box over the weekend and found 27 pre-60's. Broke the silver-less streak, with a 43P. Also found a 1983 Germany 10 Pfennig and 5 Canadian nickels - 89, 95, 98, 99 and 2011 (which is a hole filler for my son's Canada collection). And we found 4 2009D nickels, the most we've found in one box.

I feel like I was skunked today as I found no silver, buffaloes, V nickels, or 2009s. Box #2 results: 1 Canadian 22 pre-'60s including a '55-p 13 s-mint Nothing really exciting

I looked through $20 of nickels today and found a 1939 along with some pre 1960 coins. Still haven't seen a 2009 nickel. Maybe next time.

Nice finds! I would not be shocked if you find another 1939 before the first 2009.

Quote: 22 pre-'60s including a '55-p Any box with a 55 Philly in it is a winner to me! I went through 3,000 coins Monday and found a nice 40 pre-60s including a 1917-D Buffalo (you have to tilt it at just the right angle to see the date), and a 1943-P. The only lower mintage coin I found was a 1948-S. I also found a very nice AU-58 2009-P, and 6 2009-Ds.

Pretty good amount of Pre 60's becardw, I agree. Nice picks on the 2009's as well. It's been probably 3 boxes since I've found one. Nice work.
