This Nickel box and the box of halves that I found 16 silvers have been my Favorite 2 boxes since we started doing about 3 boxes a week in December 17. Hey all, Update from our last 2 boxes. 2 silvers (43P and 45S). Other notable find was this one.   It came up Obverse side up and was hoping for a "D", even with all the scratches. But, not so lucky...  Only the 4th 50P that we've found. |

I picked up a box of nickles today. I found 2-2009's, a 1934 Buffalo, a 1943P silver, a couple of 82's with slight off set strike and kept 26 pre 1960's 2 of them where a 39 & a 58 with very little wear  |

Flip your 1939 and check for the 1938 RDV. Flip worthy just the same, but more special with the 38 reverse. Nice finds! |

John, It could be. I first thought that when I found it. The reverse is not as shiny as the front.Here's the Reverse. A big difference as compared to the front.. but I can see the steps  |

Although the picture is a little blurry, it looks like the steps are extremely well defined. I would need to see some pictures at an angle to tell for sure, but I'm leaning toward it being a proof.

The 1958 Philly is a funny coin in that the obverse dies used for them look nothing like the much more common 1958-D. The relief is so different. I don't even need to flip them over to know they're Phillys. Same for most of the 1955 Philly coins (though I rarely run across them), and some of the 1959 Philly coins. Completed a box over the weekend. No silver, but a first for us. 2 Buffalo nickels in one box. A readable 1930P and a dateless. Only 15 other pre-60 nickels in the box, we usually average around 25. Did find 6 Canadian nickels and one 2009D. |

Wife stopped at the bank to grab $20 worth of nickels for the boys to go through. Found several 1940's-1950's (no silver), 1 Canadian, 1-1939, and a 1929 Buffalo.
