I found this coin this evening. checked on ebay plus coins and Canada. searched here could not find a listing for this. just wondering has the members here seen this before the wolfs back front leg is detached from the body. hope these picture help. the other 2 images are of another 50 cent coin that had been in circulation and the leg is fine. let me know what you think. see you can find one in your sets. be nice to know if this might be another variety

I don't know if it is a die variety; it could be a Grease Filled Die in that spot.
Good to see this thread. We cuold end up knowing a little more.

I checked 38 that are listed on ebay for sale. there is that is certified. but that seller did not list detached legs maybe. he do not know he has one. I can see clearly in his image the leg is detached. so I don't have the only one

The detail in question is in the very centre of the coin, so if there was a bit of weakness in the striking pressure the leg would likely disappear. I think it's more of a striking problem than a variety. Similar to US Jefferson nickels without Full Steps.

It's interesting to notice the leg anomaly anyways. Good pick-up.

i have noticed this on many examples(even some with more missing) I think it is simply die polishing.
