rocky Pillar of the Community Canada 2784 Posts	Posted 12/14/2015 10:10 pm I found this coin this evening. checked on ebay plus coins and Canada. searched here could not find a listing for this. just wondering has the members here seen this before the wolfs back front leg is detached from the body. hope these picture help. the other 2 images are of another 50 cent coin that had been in circulation and the leg is fine. let me know what you think. see you can find one in your sets. be nice to know if this might be another variety Report this Post to the Staff

I can see clearly in his image the leg is detached. so I don't have the only one Report this Post to the Staff
Scissel Pillar of the Community Canada 693 Posts	Posted 12/15/2015 4:32 pm The detail in question is in the very centre of the coin, so if there was a bit of weakness in the striking pressure the leg would likely disappear. I think it's more of a striking problem than a variety. Similar to US Jefferson nickels without Full Steps. It's interesting to notice the leg anomaly anyways. Good pick-up.
