I recently got thru ebay a coin described as a 1944 D over S Lincoln. When I received the coin, I found it difficult to see the D over the S. I asked the seller about how to verify it since I couldn't see it thru a magnifying glass. He responded that it was a Type II. My question is are there 1944 D over S, Type I and Type II's...and if there is how do you distinguish the difference. Would appreciate any help anyone may have.
