1882 O Morgan. Grade? Will PCGS Grade It?

ddubs Valued Member United States 75 Posts	Posted 12/17/2015 12:09 am Have a very toned 1882 O Morgan. Was about to send in some coins to PCGS for the Quarterly grading special. Thought I might send this in too. Think it will grade? Or would this get environmental damage label. What would it grade? If PCGS wouldn't grade it, how about NGC? I've seen some darker Morgans in their holders. Thanks for your help. Would rather not light a $20 on fire if it won't grade. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

If it did grade theyd net grade it down. 62 is the likely max that coin could get if it still has all its luster but more likely youre looking at an AU grade Report this Post to the Staff
Imthealphaomega Pillar of the Community United States 3210 Posts	Posted 12/17/2015 06:21 am All the carbon streaks and splotchy darkness kills the eye appeal. Maybe acetone dip it and see afterwards what it looks like. But I agree it looks like a high AU low ms. Report this Post to the Staff
