Hey all, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing!! I have found this 1922 Wheat cent - He is in pretty bad shape but you can read the Date - I as of right now I don't see a D to go along with it. Considering it's condition I don't even know if it's even possible for it to be validated. These images are from the USB microscope camera, I will see if I can get a hold of a good regular camera and take some normal pictures. I know it's not much - but it's hopfully my first Real Find

Poor cent =[ It wouldn't be worth it to grade it in that condition. Hope you manage to get a better picture of this one, have you tried using a loupe in front of the camera?
Your first picture seems a little out of focus judging by your second photo.

Hard to tell in the pictures. In person, does this circled area look like a "D" at all? It almost looks like the bump at the top of this circle is raised and the rest of the "D" flattened or obscured by damage.

The coin is pretty much done as far a being a collectable.

I agree with you coop - coin is very bad. But, for me to have a 1922 no D would be wonderful even if it is only rated P01. BlueSolo, I did see that mark that you mentioned and figured it came from the bottom of the 9 which is very thick. I see no hint of D even just looking through my scope because of the pits in it. I just looked on ebay from some of the auctions on the 1922D's and it does appear to match up in location. I guess I will never really know. Thank you very much.

I know, it's crazy. But, being a newbie to this - finding your first good (key date) error is big. Just like getting your first paycheck or your very first car - A disgusting green 1969 Chevy Impala - always called it "the boat".

Wishful thinking, the extremely corroded condition makes positive attribution impossible.

Still a good find CoinCents! Pretty cool pictures you were able to get as well with the microscope!

Yeah, I thought they had character.
I should do a poll for "worst coin ever submitted on the forum".
